OK, are you ready? Give me your best five minutes on: Ache

Being a first time mama, i have alot of aches. Physically...my bones and muscles ache! The hours spent rocking, cuddling and playing with Miss Placid are taking their toll on my weak frame! The hours spent on the floor, on this laptop, whilst she sleeps, just so i can be there when she stirs from a nap to help her back to sleep. These moments, precious....ache.

Another ache emotionally is my heart. It aches with so much abounding love for her. She has stolen my heart and holds it in her tiny little fingers and toes...dancing around with delight. She holds it in the way she smiles and coos at me, telling me how much she loves me im sure! She holds it with how forgiving she is when i constantly make mistakes as i stumble through figuring out what this whole 'parenting' thing is all about.

And i just know...im going to ache forever more. I have not known so much love as i have since Miss Placid entered the world. Soon she is going to grow up, and my heart will ache not wanting her to leave me, not wanting her to forget me as she starts out on her own journey of life.

And of course...loving watching this little one grow and change more each day! Lots more smiles, giggles and she has now found her hands (hooray!) so she is grabbing and interacting with her toys heaps now which is super special!

I was tagged by Mrs Clark and now it's my turn to answer some questions about me and tag some other people to do the same! So...here goes!

describe yourself in 7 words.

mother, wife, sister, daughter, creative, inspired, confused

what keeps you up at night?

Definitely my mind...it is always running, like a tap! Very hard to switch off sometimes! Also, usually Miss D- all the little noises she makes, even when she is asleep - and the never ending process of putting her dummy back in (*insert grrrr here*).

Also, if im home alone, every little noise keeps me up! I construct stories in my mind of what they mean and then i really freak myself out!

who would you like to be?

Just myself...in its best form. I want to reach my full potential in Christ, as well as in life. Im still not sure what my calling is, but for now, it is being the best mother i can be to Miss D and the best wife i can be to Mr O...thats what matters most.

what are you wearing right now?

Its 8:30am and im still in what i wore to bed. A blue singlet top and some black shorts (i totes need to get me some cute PA pjs.

what scares you?

being alone.

what are the worst things about blogging?

i love blogging - sometimes i just find it hard getting my pictures to sit the way i want them too and figuring out all the html code stuff! Its confusing!

Id like to be able to "let go" more often.

{back to basics} - monthly give up: Facebook

Here in the O household we have reflected upon things that are consuming our time and finances in an unhealthy way, and have decided that each month, we will attempt to give up one thing in the hope that we will find some extra time to spend together in worship and as a family.

For the month of March, it is going to be Facebook!

This is going to be a tough one, I can tell, but as you can read here, we discovered we spend WAY too much time on it!

I am looking forward to the challenge, and also to seeing what God is going to do in our lives with all our spare time!

Weekend in review!

Hello Monday! You are back again! The weeks are just seeming to fly by here - we are almost in March already...where has the year gone?!

We had a fairly busy weekend in the O household! Saturday morning saw my 2 sisters come up for a little picnic down at one of our local parks. It was a very eventful picnic, with Miss D not wanting to participate in any way shape or form! She just cried the whole time, so we took turns cuddling her while we each ate our lunch!

My sisters provided lunch and even cleaned out my fridge for me...sweetest girls ever!

and P.s. arent they the most beautiful sisters in the world too? I think so! 

We then went to a babyshower of some dear friends of ours! They are expecting their wee pink bundle to arrive in the next 6 weeks or so! She looks AMAZING for 34 weeks pregnant!! Cant wait to give her cuddles!

Sunday morning Mr O went off to church while I stayed home with Miss D (we didnt get a wink of sleep the night before), then we headed off up to the South Perth Foreshore to celebrate one of Mr O's friends 30th birthdays! The weather was just divine and Miss D was a little more behaved this time... :)

AND...for the first time in awhile...she SLEPT overnight! 8pm till 3am, fed at 4:30 then back down till 8am! Woo-hoo! :)

Feeling mighty refreshed today! Praise God..He has been answering my prayers!
